Chandigarh, 28 December 2024: In a substantial decision, the Haryana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, approved amendments to the Haryana Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, and the Haryana Civil Services (Assured Career Progression) Rules, 2008.
Under the revised provisions, the Haryana Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, will now be known as the Haryana Civil Services (Revised Pay) Amendment Rules, 2024. These rules will retrospectively apply from September 1, 2009. Similarly, the Haryana Civil Services (Assured Career Progression) Rules, 2008, will be renamed the Haryana Civil Services (Assured Career Progression) Amendment Rules, 2024, and also take effect from the same date.
The amendments include revisions to posts in three key engineering wings—PWD (B&R), Irrigation and Water Resources, and the Public Health Engineering Department. These changes ensure that no further salary re-fixation will be required for affected employees, simplifying administrative procedures.
The updates aim to streamline pay and career progression frameworks within the state’s civil services, addressing longstanding issues tied to the earlier rules.
