New Delhi, 24 December 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with economists and sectoral experts to gather input for the upcoming Union Budget for 2025-26.
The meeting brought together Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery, CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, and Chief Economic Advisor Anantha Nageswaran. Eminent economists, including Surjit Bhalla and DK Joshi, also participated in the discussions.
Set to be presented by Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha on February 1, 2025, the Budget is expected to reflect insights from these consultations, aimed at addressing critical economic challenges and opportunities.
