Alia Bhatt shared talked about her battle with ADHD
“I used to get zoned out from a young age. I used to get zoned out in the classroom or during conversations. Recently, I did a psychological test and found out that I am high on the ADHD spectrum. I have ADHD – Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Whenever I talked about this to my friends, they were like, ‘we always knew’. This is not some sort of revelation. But I didn’t know,” Alia said in a conversation with The Lallantop.
According to Alia Bhatt, there aren’t many times in her life when she feels completely present. “I realized why I am at ease in front of the camera, that’s when I’m most present. Every time I stand in front of the camera, I live the character I’m portraying. And in that instant, I’m totally present. And now after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present. There are only these two times in my life where I feel more at peace.” Alia remarked.
In an interview, the actress stated that she uses a makeup chair for no more than 45 minutes at a time. “Since I have ADD, I’m not interested in putting in a lot of time. Whatever is to get done has to get done quickly,” Alia stated to Allure Magazine.
She went on, ” On my wedding day my makeup artist Puneet (B Saini) said to me, ‘Alia, you need to give me two hours this time.’ I said to her, You’re crazy. I want to relax especially on my wedding day, So I’m not giving you two hours.”
In 2022, Alia Bhatt wed actor Ranbir Kapoor at their Mumbai home.
