On March 23, 2024, Tapsee Pannu wed Danish badminton player and former Olympian Mathias Boe in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in front of their close friends and family.
Following ten years of dating, Taapsee and Mathias got married, fusing Christian and Sikh traditions to represent their varied origins. Director Anurag Kashyap, a close friend, writer Kanika Dhillon, and her co-star from Thappad and Dobaaraa, Pavail Gulati were also present.
In an interview with Fever FM, Taapsee revealed that the wedding was only attended by between 100–125 guests, including Danish and Indian visitors, and that marriage is a “very private and personal moment.” It just so happened that I limited the persons I involved to those who were personally acquainted with us. My friends and family were the ones who planned it all,” she continued.

Taapsee Pannu expressed amazement that many people were ignorant of Mathias Boe’s notable badminton accomplishments in reaction to comments made on social media by others claiming they didn’t know who he was. “I feel bad for individuals who are unaware of this guy’s fame. Furthermore, I don’t want to publicly inform people that he isn’t a professional cricket player or a wealthy businessman, so they shouldn’t feel compelled to know.
“This individual is arguably among the world’s greatest badminton achievers and is primarily to blame for the current level of success attained by our men’s badminton doubles,” Tapsee stated.
