17 May 2024, Himachal – Former Speaker of the State Assembly Ganguram Musafir, Manjeet Thakur from Rohru and Munish Thakur from Paonta Sahib have returned to Congress.
Former Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Assembly Ganguram Musafir, Manjeet Thakur from Rohru and Munish Thakur from Paonta Sahib have returned to Congress. 49 leaders expelled from Congress for anti-party activities have been reinstated in the party. After the approval of state in-charge Rajiv Shukla and state president Pratibha Singh, letters in this regard were issued fromCongress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla on ThursdayDue to the Lok Sabha elections and assembly by-elections, Congress has started strengthening the organization. Although Ganguram Musafir was included in the party in the presence of Pratibha in Shimla recently, but due to lack of approval from the high command, his return was stopped after a day.
Now the high command has officially approved their return home. Musafir had contested the 2022 assembly elections as an independent after not getting a party ticket. During that time BJP candidate Reena Kashyap had won. Manjeet Thakur from Rohru was also included in the party recently in the presence of the Chief Minister. Manjeet’s homecoming also officially took place on Thursday. Manjeet, who was an active leader of Youth Congress some time ago, had left Congress. YUK’s active leader Manish has also returned. Among the leaders who have returned to Congress, Chaupal has the highest number of 29. Among them are supporters of former MLA Manglet who joined BJP.
