Inquiring about Mallikarjun Kharge’s well-being, following his illness during an address at an electoral rally in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted the Congress President on Sunday.

PM Modi dialed the Congress President Kharge to inquire about his health

The elderly leader continued his speech despite the setback, declaring that he will pass away only after PM Modi is dismissed from office and loses the elections. Kharge said this after receiving medical attention.

During the rally, Kharge charged that the BJP government was still using remote control to rule Jammu and Kashmir. “These people never desired to hold the elections. It was only upon the Supreme Court’s involvement that they began to prepare for elections,” he claimed.

“We’re going to fight to restore statehood. We won’t be leaving it. I will not pass away so quickly; I am eighty-three years old. Until PM Modi is removed from office, I refuse to die. I’ll give you my full attention,” Kharge vowed to fight for the people at the Jasrota belt rally. He went on to accuse the BJP of letting outsiders to control important industries like liquor contracts and mining in J&K.

“With all the authority, why has the BJP been slow to restore statehood? The BJP has failed to provide the better governance that the people of J&K deserve. Modiji is shedding crocodile tears for the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth, the truth is that the country’s youth have been thrust into the dark during the past ten years,” Kharge alleged.

He claimed that in the previous ten years, Prime Minister Modi had offered the Indian young nothing. He asked the group, “Can you believe a person who cannot bring back your prosperity in 10 years? The highest unemployment rate in 45 years is during the Modi ji’s tenure. Modi and Amit Shah merely intended to make speeches, take pictures, and cut ribbons—not to create jobs.”

“Sixty-five percent of government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir are unfilled. Outsiders are hired on a contract basis and paid on a daily basis for these jobs. From what I understand, Jammu residents have not been hired, not even at AIIMS Jammu,” he stated.

The Congress chairman shot back at Prime Minister Modi saying, “You must have heard how many lies Modiji spoke when he came to Jammu and Kashmir (for campaigning). The degree to which he mocked the Congress, as well as the language he chose. This demonstrates his anxiety because it is evident from the polls that he is losing.”

Kharge warned J&K against the BJP’s “fraudulent tactics,” claiming that the BJP is diverting attention away from their own inability to deal with the actual problems that the UT is facing.
