Kurukshetra: In the upcoming state elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people of Haryana to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for a third straight term.
Speaking at a Kurukshetra election rally, Modi urged the audience to support the BJP in forming a government in Haryana once more.
“You helped me serve you all for the third consecutive time in Delhi, and looking at the excitement and enthusiasm here, it is clear that Haryana has decided for BJP’s hat-trick this time.”
Modi emphasized the success of the BJP’s governing record, highlighting recent programs that have benefited women, youth, farmers, and the underprivileged.
“I pledged to make significant decisions for these segments of society within the first 100 days of the BJP government during the Lok Sabha election campaign. Our government has initiated projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore in only a few days. For poor families, three crore ‘pakka’ houses have been granted,” he continued.
The prime minister criticized the Congress for its performance in the adjacent state of Himachal Pradesh and compared the two parties’ track records.
“Every segment of the society there was promised false hopes by Congress. Not a single one of them was met, and now government workers have to go on strike in order to get paid.”
This was the prime minister’s first rally for the Haryana elections.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini showed confidence in the BJP’s chances, saying that the party’s symbol—the lotus—would “bloom for a third time” in the state.
Polling for the 90 seats in Haryana will be held on October 5, and votes will be counted on October 8. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Congress, the JJP-ASP alliance, and the INLD-BSP pair, all fiercely oppose the BJP’s bid for a third term in office in the state.
