Union minister Kiren Rijiju responded on Monday to media reports and social media posts alleging that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China had intruded into Arunachal Pradesh. According to PTI, the reports stated that the PLA had allegedly entered Indian territory last week in the Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh and had been camping in the Kapapu area of the district for some time.
Union minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju cleared speculations around China’s invasion to Arunachal Pradesh
The reports also claimed that images of bonfires, markings painted on rocks, and Chinese food items discovered at the site had been shared on social media. Rijiju, however, clarified that just because marks are painted in areas that are not demarcated does not mean that the areas have been invaded.
China cannot invade our territory. There is overlap when it comes to patrolling in the unmarked zones. They are not permitted to build any long-term structures. We are keeping a tight eye on things. “Merely painting marks in areas that aren’t clearly demarcated does not indicate that the areas have been invaded,” Rijiju stated to PTI.
Additionally, he declared that India would keep developing the infrastructure along the border. “But we will not allow anyone to come near the Line of Actual Control,” Rijiju stated.
From Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China is 3,400 km long. New Delhi has called Beijing’s (capital of China) assertion that Arunachal Pradesh has “always been” Chinese territory “absurd” and “outrageous.”
