Punjab Vidhan Sabha made three amendments within a day

Chandigarh, September 4: The Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday passed four important bills.

First bill, titled ‘The Punjab Goods and Service Tax (amendment) Bill, 2024’ was presented by Punjab Finance, Excise and Taxation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, while another bill named ‘The Punjab Fire and Emergency Service Bill, 2024’ was presented by Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh and third bill named ‘The Punjab Panchayati Raj (amendment) Bill, 2024 was presented by Rural Devlopment and Panchayats Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar. These three bills were passed unanimously.

The Fourth bill named ‘The Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (amendment) Bill, 2024 was presented by Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian. This bill was passed through majority.
