Punjab based ENT specialist is among 50 doctors in India to adopt VERIA technique

Patiala, September 5: It is a matter of pride for SIMRAN ENT CENTRE Patiala when Dr Harsimran Singh, MBBS MS DNB (ENT) read the paper on Cochlear Implant Surgery at the prestigious CIGICON 2024 held at AIIMS, PATNA on 30th,31st August and 1st September 2024.

Dr Harsimran Singh said that SIMRAN ENT CENTRE PATIALA has been operating cochlear implant surgery for more than 10 years now 

CIGICON is the conference where cochlear implant surgeons across INDIA gather and share their knowledge, experience and update among themselves so that the society is benefited globally. The cochlear implant surgery requires specialized training and is performed at limited centers by very few ENT doctors across the world. This surgery enables the deaf children to hear, talk and live a life without handicap.

Dr Harsimran Singh said that SIMRAN ENT CENTRE PATIALA has been operating this surgery for the last more than 10 years and many children have benefited, who are going to normal school like all children. He is doing this surgery by a minimally invasive method known worldwide as VERIA technique and a few approximately 50 doctors across India are doing. This surgery helps in early recovery as well as both ears can be operated simultaneously in less time.

Dr Harsimran Singh emphasized that early detection and timely proper treatment is the key to prevent the handicap among the deaf children.
