Shan Masood, the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, was devastated by his team’s 0-2 Test series loss to Bangladesh on Tuesday in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan’s choice to end the first innings of the first Test at 448/6 was an absolute disaster as Bangladesh accumulated a massive 565 and went on to produce an excellent bowling performance to win the match by ten wickets. In the second Test, things did not get any better as Bangladesh once again proved their superiority with the bat and ball, winning by six wickets. After the game, Masood claimed that Pakistan had not learned from their previous defeats and that they had been failing to cross the finish line in Test matches.

We were looking forward to the home season, therefore we were really upset. After the game, Shan Masood observed, “The story has been the same as Australia; we have not learned our lessons.”

Masood also highlighted the current fitness problems that the national team has experienced, but he additionally emphasized the several lessons that they can still learn from the series defeat.

“There are always lessons to be learned; it’s not all bad news. However, we must become more organized, fit, and prepared. It is going to be a long Test and domestic season, and we need to be better prepared for England,” he concluded.
