Sirsa, Haryana: Weeks before the Haryana Assembly elections, Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham is scheduled to give a five-day sermon in Sirsa from September 13–17. The sermons will take place in Tara Baba Kutia, a holy location supervised by MLA Gopal Kanda and his brother Gobind Kanda. Even though this event was scheduled in advance, its scheduling during election season has drawn attention and raised questions about possible political objectives.

The event was previously scheduled to take place during the Lok Sabha elections on May 13, 2024.

A discussion has been triggered by Shastri’s impending visit to Sirsa in light of the upcoming Assembly elections. While there are event posters all across Sirsa, none of them include political leaders; nonetheless, Bhagat Singh Chowk’s posters do include the Kanda brothers.

The official organizer of the event, Sri Salasar Dham Mandir, Sirsa, chairman Gopal Sarraf, defended the choice to host it at Tara Baba Kutia. He clarified that they asked the Kanda brothers to host the celebration on their property because they needed a huge space.
