New Delhi, September 1: A council member of Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that a gang of BJP leaders kidnapped him today. One of the council members, Ramchandra, switched from the AAP last Sunday, joined the BJP, and then returned back to AAP four days later.

Following several hours of agitation, the council member eventually appeared, claiming that multiple BJP men had picked him up.
“In the morning, about five or six individuals showed up at my residence and drove me to the BJP office. There they threatened me with CBI and ED. My leaders called the police commissioner, and they got me out,” he informed reporters.
“I don’t fear the ED or the CBI. I genuinely serve as Arvind Kejriwal’s soldier.”
BJP reaction to this
The media coordinator for the Delhi BJP, Praveen Shankar Kapoor, refuted any involvement from his party in this.
“You people are the masters of manufactured drama. His message on X, formerly Twitter, stated, “We have nothing to do with it, but it is certain that he is sitting in his house and you people are spreading rumors.”
Hue and Cry
Senior party leader Manish Sisodia stated this earlier today in a post on X: “BJP threatened councilor Ramchandra ji with ED and CBI. BJP goons grabbed him up in a car and drove him away when he did not get scared.”
In the video posted by AAP member Sanjay Singh, the councilor’s son Akash Ramchandra claims that a local BJP leader and his associates had kidnapped his father from his workplace. This morning, the BJP leader arrived to see his father. They threatened to get him arrested by the Central investigating authorities, forced him into their car and drove off, he alleged.
“As a result of the open hooliganism of the BJP in the nation’s capital, councilor Ramchandra was abducted after receiving threats. Threats to defame him using the ED and CBI have been made. Listen to his son, Akash. What is taking place in Delhi” read the post by Sanjay Singh.
The AAP immediately called a press conference and accused the BJP of several things.
