Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesperson stated that this road, which spans a total length of 90.31 km, plays a crucial role in connecting several key national highways, including NH-709 Extn., NH-152D, NH-148B, SH-20, SH-24, and NH-11, while passing through the 3 districts of Rohtak, Charkhi Dadri, and Mahendergarh.
Given the heavy traffic flow and the road’s strategic importance for the movement of commercial vehicles across these districts, the up gradation will greatly improve the region’s infrastructure and connectivity. The road will now be designated as State Highway 34, ensuring further improvements in the future to meet the needs of the public and enhance transportation facilities across Haryana.
In a related development, the Chief Minister has also sanctioned a road strengthening project in Karnal District. The project involves the enhancement of the road section from NH-709 Pucca Khera Mod to Munak via Paban Hassanpur (Seori to Paban Hassanpur) over a stretch of 15.15 km. This project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 18.81 crore under the NABARD Scheme, aims to bolster the region’s infrastructure and support local development.
