Punjab aims to become “Sports leader” globally, to Establish Indoor Shooting Ranges

Chandigarh, August 7: The Punjab School Education Department will establish indoor shooting ranges in 10 districts across the state, announced School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. The 10-meter ranges will be set up in Sangrur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Amritsar, Rupnagar, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Hoshiarpur, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Mansa, providing players with state-of-the-art facilities to practice.

 According to Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, is committed to making Punjab a leader in sports globally. The “Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan” initiative aims to promote a sports culture in the state. The government has honored and provided jobs to players who have brought laurels to the state and India in various competitions.

The Punjab School Education Department will establish indoor shooting ranges in 10 districts across the state 

 The Minister further informed that World-class facilities and coaching will be provided at the shooting ranges. The first indoor shooting range is expected to be ready in Anandpur Sahib within the next three months.
