Chandigarh, August 5 – Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini here today, approval was given to provide jobs to 14 dependents of martyrs. Among those given jobs are two dependents in Group B and 12 in Group C.
It is pertinent to mention that these applicants, although eligible under the policy, had not applied for compassionate appointments within the three-year time limit due to being unaware of the Haryana Government’s compassionate policy or because they were minor at the time.
The dependents of the martyrs who have been provided jobs include Satendra Singh, son of Subedar Kailash Singh, who was martyred on January 18, 2001 during Operation Rakshak in Jammu and Kashmir, Abhinay Kumar, son of Naik Deshraj, who was martyred on October 12, 2007 during Operation Rakshak, Khushboo, daughter of Sepoy Rajendra, who was martyred on February 23, 2004 during Operation Rakshak, Atul Kumar, son of Havaldar Risipal Singh, who was martyred on November 19, 2016 in Operation Rhino, Amit Kumar, son of Sepoy Anil Kumar, who was martyred on November 6, 2002 during Operation Rakshak, Kumari Asha, daughter of Sepoy Bhoop Singh, who was martyred on October 5, 1999 during Operation Rakshak, Pritam Kumar, son of Naib Subedar Anoop Singh, who was martyred on August 31, 2002 during Operation Parakram, Vicky Dalal, son of Grenadier Pramod Kumar who was martyred on September 17, 2002 during Operation Rakshak, Hitesh Khatana, son of Naik Maan Singh who was martyred on April 29, 2003 in Operation counterinsurgency , Kumari Jyotsna, daughter of Sepoy Ramphal Yadav who was martyred on August 16, 2002 in Jammu & Kashmir during an encounter with terrorists, Gurdeep, brother of Sepoy Pradeep Kumar who was martyred on August 5, 2005 during Operation Rhino, Rambir, son of Sepoy Rajendra Kumar who was martyred on May 21, 1997 during Operation Rhino, Aditya Kumar, son of CFN Praveen Kumar who was martyred on December 2, 1999 during Operation Rakshak and Rohit, son of Sepoy Randhir Singh who was martyred in a grenade blast on August 7, 2006.
