Anurag Thakur, the Member of Parliament for Hamirpur, stated on Sunday that the country will never forget that the Punjab Government risked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security when he visited the state in February 2022.
Following a meeting on the Union Budget, he was giving a press conference here. Regarding the accusation of state discrimination made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the Budget, Thakur responded, “No state has been discriminated against. I wish to advise the chief minister of Punjab, who frequently has disagreements with the state governor, to refrain from playing cheap politics.
Thakur spoke without pausing, saying, “The Punjab Government compromised PM Modi’s security during his visit.” The chief minister ought to be aware that he is the PM of the entire nation, not just the BJP.
He asserted that the Swaminathan Commission report has been implemented by the BJP government for the benefit of farmers. “In this regard, the UPA government has taken no action. “It is being implemented by the Modi government,” he asserted.
Thakur commented, “He should not play politics on matters related to country’s development and skip crucial meetings,” in reference to Mann’s decision to skip the Niti Aayog meeting. He said that the Punjabi AAP government has declared it would carry out the MSP even in the event that the Centre chose not to. “Now, where are the claims?” he asked.
The MP attacked the Delhi government, stating that the AAP aimed to transform Delhi into a city of lakes. The lakes are nowhere to be found. Three IAS candidates perished in the basement of a nearby coaching center from drowning. What steps are they doing to ensure the safety of city dwellers?
