Scam Alert in Chandigarh: don’t fall for Visa providing firms.

Zirakpur Resident Neeraj Uppal accused Multi Star Overseas immigration, operating in sec 34-A of Chandigarh of committing Visa Fraud. 

 

Neeraj Uppal Began the process of obtaining a student Visa for his daughter Hanisha Uppal to Mauritius on 25 July 2023. As per the requirement Neeraj submitted all the crucial documents following which an offer letter and an acceptance letter was handed to Hanisha on 31 st July 2023. 

 

Hanisha finally got a student Visa in the month of September which had the duration of 3 months. Following the confirmation of Visa, Neeraj Uppal transferred INR 3 lakh 82 thousand to Multi Star Overseas immigration via RTGS payment method. 

 

Flights were booked for 28th September 2023, but problems arose with the departure of Hanisha’s husband to Mauritius. Neeraj Uppal frequently requested Multi Star Overseas immigration firm to reschedule the flight but Ramandeep Kaur and Vikram Rathor belonging to that firm delayed the process. 

 

On asking for a refund continuously, the firm ignored Neeraj’s request, a complaint has been registered against the Multi Star Overseas Immigration firm under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
