43 voters with disabilities and above 85 years of age voted from home in Derabassi Assembly Constituency

In view of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, voters with disabilities and those above 85 years of age who are unable to vote at the polling booth on 01 June, will be sent home by the booth level officers. It was agreed to go home and cast your vote from home or vote at your booth on 01 June 2024, under which 44 such (Diviang-25 and 85 years and above-19) Voters had given their consent that they want to cast their vote from their home instead of postal ballot paper.
Giving information in this regard, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, Assistant Returning Officer-cum-Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Derabassi, said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, 6 teams were formed to cast the votes of these 44 voters in Assembly Constituency 112-Derabassi. who went to 6 different routes today on 21.05.2024 to cast their votes from those PWD and above 85 years old voters, so that these voters will face difficulty in casting their vote later. don’t have to He said that 43 of these votes were cast while one voter did not cast his vote due to his death.
He said that the concerned candidates were also informed in advance about all these procedures by the Returning Officer Patiala so that the transparency of the election process can be maintained.
