Second randomization of polling staff held in presence of General Observers of Patiala and Anandpur Sahib

1092 Polling Parties based on 4368 Polling Personnel allocated constituencies
The SAS Nagar administration on Thursday conducted second randomization to deploy polling staff as polling parties for the general elections in the presence of the General Observers Hira Lal, IAS (Anandpur Sahib) and Om Parkas Bakoria, IAS (Patiala), DC Aashika Jain and SSP Dr Sandip Garg at the NIC Office at DAC, SAS Nagar, Mohali.
The randomization was held for deployment of 4368 employees who have been assigned constituencies for conducting the elections with 20-percent extra staff.
As per the requirement in election, there would be 1092 polling parties including 20 percent additional against 905 booths in total. The district contains 34 booths of Chamkaur Sahib, 44 of Rajpura and 02 of Ghanaur besides 825 of Kharar, SAS Nagar and Derabassi Constituencies.
The randomization was done for deployment of polling parties comprises of 1092 Presiding Officers, 1092 Assistant Presiding Officers and 2184 Polling Officers on polling booths of the district on the polling day (June 1).
Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain apprised the General Observers of the staff reserved with the district following today’s randomisation. She said that the female staff has been preferred to deploy with in the constituency, they reside. She said that the final randomisation would be held at constituency level to allocate the booths to polling parties.
The Additional District Election Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Viraj S Tidke, ARO SAS Nagar Dipankar Garg, ARO Derabassi Himanshu Gupta, DIO NIC Anu Gupta and Election Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar among others were present during randomization.
