May 16 2024 , Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar – Mohali police arrested wanted accused in terrorist module of terrorists Harvinder Singh alias Rinda, Happy Pachhia, Nishan Singh with 01 pistol and 02 live cartridges
Dr. Sandeep Kumar Garg, IPS, Senior Captain of Police District SAS Nagar, while giving information to the press, said that during the campaign against the bad guys by the District Police Mohali, Dr. Jyoti Yadav, IPS , Captain Police (Investigation), SAS Nagar and Shri Gursher Singh Sandhu, PPS. Under the leadership of Deputy Captain Police (Special Branch and Criminal Intelligence), SAS Nagar, Ins. On 14.05.2024, the team of Shiv Kumar, Incharge Special Cell, Mohali achieved significant success in arresting one of the youth Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukh Uppal along with illegal 01 pistol .30 bore and 02 rounds alive from the area of police station Face 11 Mohali.
Dr. Giving information, Garg further said that during the investigation of the case, it came to light that a murder case has been registered against the accused Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukh Uppal at First V Police Station Qila Lal Singh, District Gurdaspur, in which he is a fugitive and along with Accused Sukh Uppal is associated with a terrorist module. The accused Case No: 184/23 was also loitering in Balongi police station and along with his co-accused Karanbir Singh alias Raja (has been arrested) coordinated with terrorists Harwinder Singh Rinda, Nishan Singh and Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pachhia from Pakistan. At the border, the Sandeep Kumar Garg used to order the supply of ammunition and heroin from the specified location and later they would supply the ammunition and heroin to various gang members. Which thus this terrorist module was disrupting the peace and integrity of the state of Punjab. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
