Haryana Right to Service Commission has imposed a fine

May 16 2024, Thursday –  Haryana Right to Service Commission has imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on an employee of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam for failing to provide a “notified service” within the stipulated time frame. Additionally, the Commission has decided to grant a compensation of Rs 3,000 to the complainant.

While stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Commission said that the Commission has directed the Superintending Engineer of Panipat to deduct Rs 8000 from the May month salary of Commercial Assistant and DO Sevaram of the Sanoli Road Division Office, Panipat, for failing to provide service within the stipulated period. Of this amount, Rs 5000 should be remitted to the state treasury, with confirmation provided to the Commission along with the receipt. Additionally, Rs 3000 should be transferred to the bank account of the complainant, Satya Devi Jindal.

The Commission has also recommended to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department to initiate disciplinary proceedings against SDO Anjali Malik of the Sanoli Road Division Office of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and XEN Vinod Kumar of Panipat City. The Energy Department has been instructed to inform the Commission of the action taken within 30 days of receiving these orders.

It is noteworthy that upon becoming aware of the matter, Chief Commissioner Sh. TC Gupta promptly took action against the erring officials and ensured justice for the complainant, Satya Devi Jindal.
