Lok Sabha Elections 2024 – 22 nomination papers filed by 20 candidates

Chandigarh, 8 May 2024 – Lok Sabha Elections 2024 – 22 nomination papers filed by 20 candidates on the second day of filing of nomination papers in Punjab: Sibin C.

On the second day of filing of nomination papers for Lok Sabha Elections- 2024, 22 nomination papers have been filed by 20 candidates for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

Giving information in this regard, Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C said that nomination papers have been filed by one candidate each from Lok Sabha constituency Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Anandpur Sahib and Fatehgarh Sahib. Nomination papers have been filed by five candidates from Sangrur, while nomination papers have been filed by three candidates each from Amritsar and Patiala. Two out of the three candidates from Patiala have filled 2 forms each. Whereas nomination papers have been filed by 2 candidates from Faridkot and 3 from Ludhiana. The Chief Electoral Officer said that no candidate has filed nomination papers for Ferozepur, Khadur Sahib, Bathinda and Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seats on Wednesday.

It is worth mentioning that on May 7, 15 nomination papers were filed by 13 candidates from Punjab.
