Supreme Court asked Enforcement Directorate to prepare Interim Bail Conditions for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

03 May,2024, – The Enforcement Directorate was told by The Supreme court of India on Friday  that it may consider the question of interim bail for Arvind Kejriwal because of ongoing elections.

Furthermore, the top court has also directed the ED counsel to come prepared on this aspect when it takes up the matter on Tuesday (May 7). “We may grant or we may not grant. But we must open to you as neither side should be taken by surprise” a bench of Justice Snjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta said.

Through the above statement, the top court has alerted both sides to not assume that the court will grant bail. It asked the ED to bring up the possible conditions to be imposed on Arvind Kejriwal if interim bail is granted to the Delhi Chief Minister.

The top court also asked the ED to consider his position as the Chief Minister.
