Chandigarh. 23 December 2024: A teenager has been arrested for a knife assault that left a man injured in Chandigarh’s Ramdarbar area on October 17.
Police said Dheeraj Kumar, a resident of Ramdarbar, was attacked outside his house while he was with his friend Harsh. The attackers, identified as Vineet, LD, and Bhandu, reportedly approached the two and stabbed Kumar before fleeing. Kumar suffered injuries in the attack.
“Vineet, also known as Pingu, has been apprehended, and the weapon used in the assault has been seized,” a police officer said. Vineet, who also resides in Ramdarbar, has been remanded to judicial custody.
Efforts are ongoing to track down the other two suspects, LD and Bhandu, who remain on the run. Police are working to bring them to justice.
